Welcome to GSWS’s 4th Annual Art Installation Draw the Line on War. This year, for our 4th Annual Installation, thirty-six GSWS artists created 81 small works. Together they make a powerful statement on war and peace in today’s world. The usual restrictions of size and media were set aside so that artists could create their meaningful pieces more freely. As you view this unique exhibit you will be moved by the abstract and sometimes graphic reflections of violent conflict. The paintings are hung in chaos representing the destructive and global nature of war. Interspersed are paintings representing peace. These paintings are quiet and beautiful and give the viewer a place to rest, as well as reasons to hope for a
brighter future. Inspiration for the design was taken from the famous American painter, Robert Rauschenberg. |
The physical exhibit is at
AOY Art Center, Yardley, PA. October 8 – November 6, 2022. Fridays – Sundays, 12 to 5 pm. Paintings can be purchased online. Delivery after November 6. See image of Installation.
